Michael Ian Black, Esq., is an experienced family law attorney in New York and has been practicing Family Law for more than 40 years. He established the Law Firm of Michael Ian Black, Esq., in 1972, and he specializes in handling divorce and family law. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1967. Michael Ian Black, Esq., has testified as an expert on family law issues and continues to provide legal counsel as a family law attorney in New York. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association (family law division for the family court in NYC) and New York State Trial Lawyers Association, as well as the proud father of two successful children.

Rafael Alardo

Rafael Alardo is the firm’s office manager and senior paralegal with over 20 years of law office experience. Ralph oversees all of the day-to-day functions of the firm, ranging from organizing the busy court calendar to managing the office computer network. He is a graduate of the American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Studies Program at Bronx Community College and is a paralegal member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Born and raised in New York City, Ralph is actively involved in the local community and is an assistant pastor in his local church. He is the proud father of two accomplished daughters and is fluent in Spanish.

David Emerson

David Emerson is the firm’s matrimonial paralegal with over 15 years of law office experience. David is responsible for assisting Mr. Black by handling complex matrimonial financial documentation and information. He is a graduate of the ABA-approved New York University Paralegal Studies Program. David has been involved in matrimonial law for the family court in NYC for virtually his entire legal career. Born and raised in New York, David performs an ombudsman type of service and is an active leader in his local temple.
